New Mexico Writers welcomes Zach Hively to the El Rito Library in northern New Mexico as part of its Rising Writers series.

The Rising Writers program, run by the non-profit group New Mexico Writers, gives unpublished or novice New Mexico authors a chance to spend time with an established writer in their genre. Professional authors share wisdom, tell stories, answer questions, and offer encouragement to a group of 6-10 fledgling writers.

This Rising Writers session is titled “Hone Your Voice” and will include a discussion on the practice of developing a writer’s voice, and the importance of voice to finding publications. 

There will be plenty of time to ask questions and engage in discussion, but this is not the place to ask for coaching, mentoring or help with a manuscript. It is, however, a place for encouragement and inspiration of new voices. There is no charge for the session, but there is limited space.
